Dear Mr. Smith —

This letter is to express my immediate resignation due to poor behavior in the workplace. Unfortunately, we have to end the positive relationship we’ve had as colleagues in this manner. Unfortunately, there have been multiple instances where I have been verbally inferred and attacked through another employee’s social media account. And I understand that there is very little control that you, as a manager and an employer, can take.

Unfortunately, due to this behavior, it is creating an uncomfortable work environment for me, and I have to decide to step away from this situation.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and I hope we can stay connected in a professional manner for the foreseeable future.

Sincerely,

Sarah  “

Resignation letter due to unfair treatmentSample 2

“ Dear ×××××,

After careful thought and consideration I have concluded that my core values are not aligned with the dysfunctional organizational culture at ××××× Dept, ×××××× company. It is time to move on to maintain my health, sanity, and overall happiness.

This letter is to officially inform you that I resign from my position as xxxxxxx, effective immediately.

Every employee joins a company hoping to work under the guidance of a person with “clear direction and strong leadership”. I received neither.

Originally, I believed the biggest challenge at ×××××× company would stem from lack of proper system. However, I quickly realized that, inflated egos and managerial incompetence would prove to be bigger obstacles. These dynamics are not conducive to innovation and productivity.

I did not receive fair pay for the work I was held accountable for, even after pushing every job that is related and not related to my job title and description. Additionally, I have been reprimanded for fabricated, unsubstantiated claims regarding my performance and behavior.

Fortunately for me, I know my worth and I am very well aware of the value I bring to a team. I refuse to settle for any form of disrespect or maltreatment, particularly from individuals whose only credibility resides in their job title as opposed to demonstrated excellence and leadership.

I’m positive, my experience isn’t an isolated one. At least a few in our Dept. have had similar or even worse experiences.

I had a goal to brand ×××××× dept, the employer of choice in our ××××× company community. Unfortunately, it became abundantly clear to me that I would be out of integrity to attempt to attract employees to such a toxic and dysfunctional work place. I refuse to convince professionals to work for a dept. that operates like a start-up “mom-n-pop shop” rampant with nepotism and cronyism.

I could share more for the purposes of an “exit interview” but I have little faith that information gathered would be compiled to formulate a retention strategy.

Kindly note that you can never be a good manager nor a good human being. Stop your pretence and be true to yourself and fellow beings. You should stop your masquerade as the only personage who works. Trust me the dept. will have plain sailing without you. And also understand the fact that you have failed you dept.. You are not even a real xxxx and guess what everybody knows though you lie about your graduation life.

Mr. Jim Patterson

Marketing Director

Baker Energy Systems Inc.

120 Placement Avenue

New Orleans, LA

Dear Mr. Patterson:

I am writing this letter in order to inform you that I am resigning from my position as a Marketing Consultant at Baker Energy Systems Inc. As per the terms of my contract, I am providing you with a 2-weeks notice of my intention to leave, May 11 will be my last working day.

While I have spent a great 2 years at Baker Energy Systems Inc. and have learnt all that I know from my supervisors, I am afraid that it is impossible for me to continue working here. I have recently been victim of unfair treatment from 2 of my colleagues, and despite the fact that I have officially complained, no measures have been taken against the accused. In fact, the human resources officials haven’t even responded to my complaint, let alone take any action. I feel that I have been wronged not only by my colleagues, but also by the authorities.

I have given this company the best of my abilities and knowledge, and have worked very hard to bring it to the height that it is at right now. It is true that I have learnt much in the process as well. However, I believe that it is time for me to move on.

During my notice period, I’ll do my best to hand over my work to anyone whom you choose to replace me. If you need me after the notice period ends, I wouldn’t mind coming in for a few days to wrap things up.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to work with you. I will always cherish these relationships and wish the company success in all its future endeavors.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Wilson  “
